Sywell Pistons and Props 2014 - ONE SPARE WEEKEND PASS

Post by Pete »

Has there been an approach to the MMA to support the Drag Racing display this year?

Don and Roydon put on a great (and expensive in terms of tyres) display last year and it seemed very well received.

Have we been invited back for a display? Are there any concessions as a consequence?

Cheers

Pete

Pete thanks for reminding me, I got an email yesterday from Mark Ashman saying he has saved me a place. Is Roydon coming again this year, or anyone else for the drag racing? Let me know and i'll send Mark an email back and get places saved. Does anyone know if we're invited back as a club in the show area again?

Yes, Roydon is up for the Drag race display again - he has reserved a set of slicks for the job!!!

Also will the MMA have a static display like last year?

This is good due to the general entry costs at Sywell - their last event was £43 per person!!!!

Thanks Don.

I am happy to take the Bee or Dart up as part of a static display.

Just got a message back from Mark Ashman, Roydon and I will have space reserved for us in the pits. Mark also tells me he is meeting with the Sywell organisers next week and is going to request a bigger pit area to give it quote "a proper pit look like we get at the pod" :?

Good!!! We need space for the camper as well as the race car and show cars on site. NOT like last year when we were told to move the camper van off site! We need it close for tools and fuel for the race car.
