Am i the only one reading this who is staggered that a 69 charger has been evicted onto the driveway for a (mere) 2012 challenger ?? That seems a little odd to me. i mean, nice challenger and all, but its only a new daily isnt it ? It'll depreciate like crazy then you'll sell it. I know which I would put in the garage !!

PS - Call Anton. Or sell the charger. You'll easily get your money back.

PPS - isnt that one the 70rt with the 69 front and back end on ? Sure i recognize the plate.

...and getting laid. Just sayin' :-)

Maybe it's because it's not about speed and performance for me. It's style and iconic character that we'll probably never see again. Although a bit of crude, loud, smelly old skool grunt is always fun too.

...and yes, someone will probably be saying the same thing about the Hellcat in less that 40 years time... and they'll be right... but they'll still be standing at a car show wishing they were as cool as the guy next to them in the '69 Charger.

Just my 2 cents.

Yes, it is the 70 with 69 bumper/tail lights. I still call it a 69 because it looks like one.

It's still OK as a 15 footer and I'd love to keep it dry, but I'd rather keep my 2012 clean and dry than reduce the rot on my low-grade classic by 30% or whatever when it needs welding/panels anyway

i would have thought the new car would be able to stand our british climate better then the 69. Sell the 69 and use it to fund your new car.

Just read this post.not my business, but you asked opinions.
My thoughts : by your own admittance you can't/don't want to work on the charger with any confidence yourself. If you leave it on the drive it WILL die. They all do, it's our weather.
If you can afford a 60 grand car I'd get rid of the Charger and let someone else have some use out of it.
Mind you, if I had that sort of money I'd buy that Hemi Charger on ebay.
FWIW these old cars can be driven reliably. I've done close to 4,000 miles in mine and it had one breakdown ( knackered thermostat) and soon fixed that.
You just have to be prepared to learn or let someone like Anton do it for you.
If you do get the Hellcat, please provide a full road test for us to read ;)
