Checking deck to bore square ?

Checking deck to bore square ?

Engine shop surgested I had the deck to bore checked for square before I had it bored. ( and charge me for doing so obviously )
Is this somthing perculier to Mopar engines, as I have never had it checked before ?

Normal for any engine if you want it right,should also check the crank is square to the bores too. Who's doing it? That firm up Lottbridge Drove?

Latil, I did ask but they can't bore V8s on thier machine.

Thats ok then, i supose its par for the course with race engines. :thumbright:

Julian Godfrey race engines in Heathfield East Sussex.just up the road from me.
