Eagle stroker kit

Post by Bryan »

Anyone used one of the above. I've been reading mixed reviews about the quality.

Just after other people's opinions.

I have used both. Eagle and Scat and both have been fine and took a lot of abuse.

I thought I had heard that both were made by the same manufacturer.....

I have the Eagle kit in my stroker, and no problems.

Assuming this is for a milder perfomance application, it should be fine. Like all aftermarket components it will all need checking to ensure everything is within spec. before it is assembled. This is the case however much you pay for parts, do not ever assume it will all "just bolt in". Piston pins being too tight a fit in the rods is a common one, you or your engine man always has to do the final quality control.

I bought a second hand (but unused) Eagle crank for my old 440 and it measured exactly spot on in all regards except for end play which was at the far end of the tolerance (still just within spec).

But that might have been down to the thrust bearings rather than the crank.
