Water pump

Post by stilltrying »

I thought the water pumps on the 440 and the 383 were the same but whilst trawling evilbay.com I came across this item 181502252194 (didn't want to put a link, ok I don't know how to do a link) and it states for a 440.
I bought an electric pump a while back and thought this would be a good idea for the 383 in the rod, gets rid of a bit of old iron and I could Bananarama! up a bit too.
So my question is are they the same?

Are you talking about the Water Pump, or the housing, or both?

They should still be interchangeable, but there are 2 versions - exit to Drivers side and exit to Pass side...........

I'm on about the housing, I bought an electric pump that will fit the housing but the evilbay item I am looking at states that it fits 440's and does not specify a 383.

Cheers for the replies, at the price of around £53 all in with shipping and customs I thought it was cheap but just didn't want to buy £53 worth of ali if it didn't fit the 383.
I'll give it a go and let you know what happens.

I'll give the linky thing ago next time, just a bit old for techy stuff but am willing to try.
Cheers for the guide. :salute:
