Very nice....only thing I dont like about old tractors that are restored is the fact that they appear to be assembled then EVERYTHING gets painted one colour. My OCD makes me want to paint everything individually then assemble. I assume they were just covered in paint from the factory???...... :thumbright:

Tractors

Assembled then painted to avoid scratching all the paint off during build. The same practice happens today with modern stuff.

A paraffin model :thumbright: Good little things, don't ever buy a 4 cyl diesel one, they never start,3 cyl one (Perkins P3) is fine though. Plenty of spares around these days.

Old Massey Ferguson I believe?

When I was at Writtle agricultural collage, one of our lectures had a big old grey Massey which he used for ploughing competitions, pulled us out when we got our Tractors stuck during our training in woodland and estate management.

Nope it's a Ferguson, before the take over by Massey Harris. Harry Ferguson of Jensen FF design and many more.

Yep, a Fergie. It should be a petrol/TVO, as it has 2 tanks however when I decode the engine number, it comes back as a standard engine, not TVO. They recommend running them on petrol only if using them on the road anyway (pub vehicle) so it may have had a different tank fitted. Manufactured 1950 I think.
