You maybe right mate. I've looked it up & the symptoms fit. Will remove the prop 1st & if it's gone then I'll look at the half shafts next.
If it is a half shaft it would show up in uneven break wear .
I watched a newer episode of grave yar oricks and they were installing an engine but Mark moron noticed the engine was not sitting in the k frame evely,it was half cocked up on one side ,I had the same issue with my challenger,
I put the car up on stands and removed all the motor/trans mounts ,so it was sitting on 2 jacks, and I was able to move the engine and trans as a unit, got it line up better and it did rid the car of most of the vibration.
I feel your pain my car had some nasty vibes ,so bad it would vibrate the rear view mirror and I couldn't see out of it,and it was a night mare,I have it to the point that is is not bad,but I can still feel a harmonic vibration in the seat and I pretty much gave up.
I hope you have better luck than me ,also make sure the rear drums are not warped, that was an area on our cuda that was bad,I replace thEm and I have yet to drive it but the cuda has a similar vibe going on ,so when I get it on the road I have to chase another vibe, sorry for the hijack and long post but since yours is 4 pages long I figured I would chime in with my vib crap...........uggg
