New member. Old car

Post by SESmopar »

Hi all,

Just bought mt first Mopar and the previous owner had left their MMAUK membership cards in it, so i joined as soon as i had the chance!

Always wanted a Dodge so took the plunge with a 1965 polara 2 door. (You have probably seen it on ebay)

It is by no means a show car.... but its mine and i intend to use it as a driver

I haven't really got any knowledge of the cars history, and wondered if anyone would have any information on it. You can see its had some dodgy repairs in the past.

Any info would be really appreciated.

Hi Simon and welcome to the club!

Very nice car....my mate Dave saw it on his travels recently and texted me a picture. He loved it!!

Great club and as others have said, loads of advice and help on here if you need it. Love the fact you are planning on using her as much as you can...built to be driven!!

Thanks everyone for your warm welcome.

Going to use it most weekends weather permitting....

The cars had a bad drivers side rear quarter repair, seems like a lot of filler in it as well, and the passenger side is starting to rot too, first on my list of things to fix.

Just wondered if anyone knew the history of the car, possibly the extent of the damage? Anything about the old girl really.

I think a member in the Luton area had that car some years ago? I seem to remember a bit of a strip down & some less than ideal repairs going on and a repaint? Was it originally white? If it is that same car, that's about all I can remember.

Hi mate and welcome to the club , know one of the previous owners by the name of Geoff , lovely fella , had the car for many years and lives near Bradford I believe, and then sold it on to his lad Lee. I think that whilst it was with Geoff someone ran into the side of it and Tony O brought a new door in for it. I know that he had the car for years and loved it .
Hope that helps a bit
