However, I've accumulated a lot of the bits I need - rad, fan, and 273 from Terry, a complete K-H disc set up, new screen, rubber and floorpans (imported via Ron at STS, brilliant service and saved about £300 on the screen and floors)
I had been really unsure what regs to build it to - as well as the stringent FIA Appendix K, there are lots of slightly different championships regs (including the CSCC Swinging Sixties series which would allow a later 340 or 360 block which of course gives a lot more options for power, as well as other tweaks, like tubular A-arms and bigger discs all round). The other issue was working out what the original homologation specs were for a 64 (the FIA list their papers as 'Barely Readable', and the 1964 rules are only available in French!)
But then Mike Ritz (http://www.teamstarfish.com/) came up trumps with a copy of the original homologation forms for a 64 Barracuda:
As well being basically Formula S spec (which I don't think came out until 65?) it also has some useful 'variants' homologated, which are tubular headers and additional rear axle support struts - unfortunately the picture isn't clear so it's hard to see what these look like, but in theory they might help the Barracuda be slightly less outclassed by those pesky Mustangs! The early Sixties Imperials had additional axle struts, so I wondered if they might have used those, so I'm trying to track down more info.
I'll make sure the next update is a lot sooner, and has some proper work and pics
