My New Folly - CH Sedan FHP 820L - 14 years in a shed

Post by CLPete »

Evening, thought I'd post up my new ... folly.

Just arrived tonight, not had time to have a deep look.

A CH Sedan (well, even that is yet to be determined - it *could* be a CJ, but pretty sure it's the CH).

14 years since it was last taxed.

Previous owner tells me it drives backward, but not forward.

Plenty of rust in the usual places, but not all bad.

Wife thinks I am mad, but at least it will keep the VE VIP company. Something for the kids & I to play with over the winter, in any case.

Poor baby has seen better days - bonnet is even stuck, fuel tank in the boot, chrome all over the place, generally a tad ... tired!

Joy!

It seems to be pretty much all there. Not sure about all the chrome, but it mostly seems to be present.

Inside seems pretty much there as well.

Really, I think it will be the transmission, the front clip parts (rottern passenger guard), and the general rust which has been welded but not in keeping with the original layout (I'm sure it'd be fine for an MOT, but it isn't "technically" correct!).

Looking forward to getting it back on the road.

I have that car down as last known to the club in 93. Came from Guildford.

It is a CH6P41. Can you PM me a copy of the Compliance tag?

Nice save :thumbright:

Untaxed since Feb. 1987.

Possibly won't be seeing it again I fear!

Nice photo though - will add it to the list.
