Post by Prothed »

Apparently you can now order 'classic' fuel, leaded or unleaded, made by VP Racing Fuels -

4.55 litres per gallon = £16.24 per G.

3000 weekend miles a year with a car that does 15mpg = £3248 on the funny stuff.

That's a whopping £2156 a year more than regular at 1.20/litre.

Think i'll get Ali heads and other stuff with the saving!

Surely its cheaper to use additives?....Power Pour (ICE), Millers, TetraBoost etc. etc. Its the lead you want to add, you can get 100 octane if you want with the right mix.

Here's a list of suppliers of 4 star, not sure how old this is though

Very expensive - just posted in case anyone really wanted some.
I'll just keep using the additives.
I'm no fuel.

I wouldn't want to run a Mopar on it but if you've got a classic competition bike (trials, scrambles, road racing), especially with a glass tank that would be worthwhile. Not just for the RON but as it has no ethanol content.

You can still get ethanol free petrol on the pumps.

BP Ultimate and Esso Super Unleaded are ethanol free.

All Shell and supermarket petrol is 5% ethanol.
