"Lakeland Motor Museum. Located at the southern tip of England’s longest lake, Windermere, the attraction with be hosting a ‘Classic Drive and Ride In Day’ on Friday 26 December. The event is open to the proud owners of classic cars, trucks, vans and motorbikes, as well as more recent hot hatches, superminis and high performance sports cars.
There is no need to book and there is plenty of free parking for owners to display their pride and joy. Participating drivers and their passengers will also receive vouchers for half-price admission to the Museum itself, which is usually £8.00 for adults and £5.00 for children. Two similar events earlier in the year each saw around 100 motor cars and motorcycles come together to provide a diverse display of favourite marques outside the Motor Museum"

Thanks for posting this up Dave. The museum used to be in the grounds of the beautiful Holker Hall. They had a great display of land ad water speed record cars and boats....hope they still have them at the new site :thumbright:

I used to help a guy out with his Jensen in that area back in the early 90s. Dark metallic red it was from memory.

Weather warnings and a really bad bug I picked up from a care home stopped me going. Shame because I do like the Lakes in the winter. Not sure a Corvette would have been the ideal car to take this time of year though....
