1 = Heater Hose - Not Required ;)
2 = Temp sensor - "mechanical" thermocouple - needed.
3 - Heater Hose - Not Required ;)
4 = Electrical Temp Sensor, not a lot of use..........

They are NPT (National Pipe Thread) not very common over here........

As Pete said, 1/2" is interchangeable between the two but rest are slightly different, see here http://pipeandhose.com/?q=node/2 both come either straight or taper although technically NPT is taper & NTS is straight.
You can't have too much power, only a lack of traction!

Is that hole in the water pump, the one on the right of the pump, the hole that normally goes on the bottom of the pump? In other words do you need to rotate the pump 90 degrees clockwise? Or is it something else?
1970 Road Runner, 505CI, 4 speed, GV overdrive, 3.91 gears.

I think that is in the housing, not the pump.....

It's a drain hole for when water, (or steam if you overheat), gets past the shaft seal.

I believe 1,2,&3 are 3/8" NPT, 4 is 1/8" NPT. What did I win?
