regulate

Post by autofetish »

I brought an alternator which i though was internally regulated its not

it needs a external dual field regulator ^ like wiring diagram on right side^

Apart from the mopar regulator below does anyone know of a modem regulator i could use? Ideally without the silly mopar pin connectors

many thanks

Will

I would bet my balls to a barn dance that the Alternator you have pictured would be internally regulated..............

Mind you, my 2005 Durango charging circuit is dictated by the PCM, not the Alternator, so maybe.........

Is there not another alternator you could use a Will I noticed that one is advertised as "stock " looking which may have been your reason for choice ?
Tony383 has recently upgraded to a Denso , though not 100% on whether or not a regulator was used. I'll find out. :thumbright:

I imagine that will need some cooling flow over it so maybe under dash is not the best option???
