I did mine came out perfect
First scrub with a brill pad green side
thinners
Then clean everything
Then silicon remover can get from a proper paint shop again Brillo green side
Scrub and scrub again
Then I paint with standard 2k body paint
2k primmer
Standard 2k black paint.
It's surprising good with the flex of the dash pad
If you skip the silicon remover if will fish eye the paint.
Lots of little layers very slowly allowing good drying time
if you go down my car block you will see all

ive used halfords gloss smooth hamerite copy on arm rests and door cards
works fine if applied in warm weather very thin
doesn't crack is suproisingly flexible
just don't clod it on
but vinylcote is also an option
it works well
did a seat in it years ago and was surprised at how hard wearing it turned out to be
although i wouldn't try to paint something black, white with it....i think extreme changes would involve a lot more work
