Does anybody know where to get a 383 tuned

Post by 1pheonix1 »

Hello all,

Fairly new here and I am looking for advice. I have a 66 chrysler 300 with a stock 383 with holly carb. I am looking to get it tuned up but have never done this before.

Can anyone recommend somewhere that I could get this done or know any groups that meet that could give advice?

I am near Reading, Berkshire.

Thanks

Bill

Have a go yourself matey, its all part of the fun with our old cars. Plenty of guidance here if you get stuck.

I would bang some new, correctly gapped plugs in, new fuel and air filter, oil change if she needs it then do some reading on timing. Sort that, then research your carb and how to set it up....make notes on what settings she runs on before tuning and you can always go back to them. You will get to know the car better and have fun doing it.

Daves threads on timing are great....check out Si's links to them about 4 posts down
