Post by Powermyster »

Hey Guys have you seen this. Looks like it might be destined for the scrap yard. What a shame, I love Impala's

On Facebook a few weeks back someone posted a pic of it being driven at speed with steam coming out the front. I think it was Derek posted it

Shame obviously been nicked. Contact the police and tell them you would be interested in it if no one claims it, I don't know if it works like that but there are a couple of members that will know, might be worth a go?

Im sure that was the car that was on ebay a few months ago.

Unless the owner comes forward that will be scrapped,no good trying to buy it as someone has all the import paperwork and it doesn't appear registered yet.

Was spotted being driven, then later dumped 8-8.30 am, odd time to nick and joyride a car.

Why is that? I had a Nissan 300zx nicked was gone for a week only got found because they apparently were hammering down a side road a few miles from where I lived and smashed into a car reversing out of a driveway that day, I got a call from the Police late morning. So obviously had been driving it around all sorts of times for that week.

Who would spend thousands on a car bringing it over just to Bananarama! up and dump it?

I wasn't suggesting it was the owner? I guess opportunist thieves will steal whenever. I got the impression the car was ragged until it died then abandoned. With the front and side damage and cooked motor thats a big bill. Might not of even been insured if it wasn't registered

My mistake Don, I thought I read it was a '69.

The side I nasty. Didn't see that in the other images. What a shame, having it wrecked like that..

Not your fault, it was originally headlined as a '69 car so that's where you would have got it from ... :thumbright:

Yes,and I wonder how many coming over are pinched. With the right payments in the right places in the US it is possible to get a new title for an old car,so releasing it from a fate of being broken for parts. Nice to see the owner is taking it home.

I wonder if her insurance will foot the bill to send it back, it must have major sentimental value to want to get it back after its been re painted smashed up and the engine fkd.

why would you go to the expense of shipping the car over here, then ragging it round London and trashing it?? my bet is it’s been nicked twice, once in Idaho, shipped here to sell, but before that could happen it’s been nicked again
