Remember it well myself Paul, 4.30's with 26" tall tyres, 4000rpm at 55.mph, I wouldn't quite call it bliss, and that was only about 25miles!, only did it the once!!!!......2 B fair, you do have 31" tall tyres, makes all the difference, and on that note....are you driving it to the NATS?

Yeah, them tall tyres made it a lot more bearable.
I'm definitely driving to the Nats mate, the big question is... am I driving it home again after

I'm wrestling with clutch choice at the moment.
£350 will get me the same dual friction Ade's using, Trusting my old flywheel to not explode...
Or £600 ish for a twin plate with new flywheel...

Yes mate you ARE driving it home this time!!.....pay the money Paul, (easy to say), but get the whole lot, do the job once, and I'll see you there on Saturday blasting up the track ...just take it easy first off till you get the hang on the bite and hook of the car and whats required to stop it bogging., walk before you run!. And go through everything before you run it, valve lash, new plugs? gap, timing etc. etc.
Since changing the rear is not really a long job, it can be done fairly fast with the right tools,( I did it in Kayente Arizona) how about changing gears at the track .
I have a set of 3:55,s for the track, but I cruise with 3:23,s ,most of the time,kills the low end torque of a 440 but the top end..............
When I was racing in Street class 2 brothers with a roadrunner would do the same, drive there and change their diff to 4.10's before racing, not for everyone though!

I used to do it with my charger 440-6 3.23 gears street tires 130 mile drive to pod race it the saturday as is 13,1,s all day swap diff at midnite or thereabouts to a 4,10 and slix and run 13.0s sunday not much diff there guys then swap the 3,23,s back in to drive home,,,
