Couldn't agree more Jeff, that was a very emotional post Alex, good on ya for holding it together enough to share your feelings with us.

I can't believe the last 3 weeks this clubs had, to say nothing of the poor families and friends of the ones we've lost.

And all in the first few weeks of a new year

Thats a terrific post Alex and has given all of us who didnt have the pleasure of knowing or meeting Mel, a feeling for how she obviously embraced life and touched many people. She was obviously a lovely lady who will be missed by all. Thoughts with you and Mels family and friends Alex.

Pete, I couldnt agree more...dont think many of us stick to what you say as often as we can or should, but life is no rehearsal. Wise words Pete... thank you

Oh Man!

Mel was a great character, I always enjoyed meeting up with her at shows, playing with her dogs and sharing a few stories (she did the sharing, I did the listening).

I tried in vein to help her out with an Aussie Charger she had a few years back, but it had been tampered with too much to bring back to life at a reasonable cost. Not long after she bought Alex's Duster.

she will be missed.

I don't usually post on this kind of thing ,but feel compelled to now.
Firstly very saddened by hearing this news , but I too enjoyed her company on several occasions and found her hilarious, her laughter was infectious and she always had sooo much to say .
.........Mel you will be missed but will remain in the hearts and memory of all those who met you R.I.P girl.

Mel's funeral will take place on Friday 13th March. It will be at Radcliff crematorium North Manchester at 12.30 (details to follow) . There will also be a wake afterwards for all at Rams bottom cricket club starting approx. 1.30pm (again details to follow).

Dress code is whatever you feel comfortable in, Phil has said to dress in Mel style, Jeans & Converse footwear would be a nice touch.

Please feel free to share this & invite anyone that have have been missed.

Thank you

It was Mel's goodbye today, the place was packed, standing room only :)

The service was short, sweet and perfect, I was fine right up to the point they played 'Wish you were here' by Floyd.

I wore my MMA jacket and and Nats T shirt and of course baseball boots as she would have wanted (I dug out my flamed ones!!!) and it was so nice to see Mels MMA baseball cap on the coffin.

The world is a tiny bit worse off today, she was a special, cool, funny and slightly bonkers person, the kind of lady we all need in our lives.

Sleep well Melita.
