Vacuum increasing at throttle is opened.

Post by Powermyster »

I got the car running and out yesterday, one thing I noticed that seems to be the opposite of what I was expecting was the vacuum appeared to be increasing as I opened the throttle. She's pulling approx 16inHg at idle and this goes up around 25inHg(didn't take an exact reading)when I hit the throttle.

I had the carb off and it's all seemed to be clean and in good condition. I checked the throttle plates position in relation transition slots etc while I had the carb off. Any opinions?

Restrictive air filter?

Do you mean when you floor it or open it slowly?

Could be the filter Dave. I haven't done anything with that yet and had all back together when I took noticed that.

I didn't snap in to WOT.
