Busy compiling shopping list for the parts I'm going to need to sort the front end out.
So far it's
bottom balljoints
LCA inner bushes
Torsion bar seal and lock kit
New bush for the pitman arm
New bush for the idler arm
The torsion bars look to be perfectly ok, would it be worth changing them as well or will they be ok to use again ( as far as I know, they've been on there since 1968 )
Is there anything else that I'll need, or anything I've forgotten about apart from reading the manual which I've done and will do again a few more times before starting lol
Also, any tips or tricks to removing the torsion bars and LCA's, do I need any specific tools to get everything apart?
TIA

Thanks Pete, I forgot about the ARB, if it's going to be mostly road use would it be worth upgrading the ARB and torsion bars or would the original ones be ok ( they're not damaged in anyway ).
I know there's a difference of opinion on LCA bushes being rubber or poly but for the rest would poly be a better idea / give a better ride?
TIA

Poly ARB bushes are a good idea.
Personal taste but I prefer rubber LCA bushes as they are bonded and will limit LCA movement, others will disagree.
I am sure the Torsion bars will be OK if they are original BB ones - you need to check the diameter of the bars.........

Make sure that you buy a decent brand, such as Moog. Don't assume that if a vendor lists a Moog part number that you will receive a Moog part
I got caught like this from one of the big UK parts suppliers and the dust boots on the Taiwanese parts they supplied disintegrated quickly meaning that I had to pull it all apart again and redo it
Second time around I bought a mix of Moog and Pedders parts from WASP and Roger respectively. Good quality items that should last years.
