I sort of forgot Id just finished a ban when I bought it. Usual case of not thinking things through.

My feelings have been hurt by the lack of enthusiasm for the PHEV though.

I've seen quite a few on the road Nick but didn't know what they were till I saw 'Outlander' on one a few days ago. Didn't even know about 'PHEV' till I just looked it up! Impressive technology!

But as I said to colleague here at work recently, 'life's to short to worry about mpg'....

Hi Si,

it's the 1.75 TBi (4 cyl turbo) 200 bhp, 236 lb-ft. Pretty nippy too

A lot cheaper road tax than the V6 and similar performance, and better mpg.
Supposedly 34 mpg but I only managed 28 taking it easy for a week on holiday

We have some Mitsubishi Canter hybrids here at work, I hope the PHEV is a bit more sorted out than those, the stop start technology is particularly crude and agricultural. We have had a lot of problems withe the tramsmission electronics as well, they are generaly horrid things to drive.
