I'll admit I've made a big booboo here so someone please help me in my Mopar newbieness??? 77 Dodge Monaco
I was wiring something up that needed to be live with ignition so I wired it into the wiper switch supply. Yes I was very stupid and wired pos to neg and neg to pos as I didn't read my meter properly and totally missed the polarity! No fuses seem to have popped (that I can find anyway) but now the wiper switch gets red hot and sounds like it's cooking inside, wipers still work on all 3 speeds as does the washer BUT they don't park anymore. Just stop wherever you switch them off except the lower park position.
Can't leave switch plugged in for fear of setting the car on fire! Yes I bought a NOS switch from USA ebay but that's exactly the same!
I also got a little shock when holding the switch loose and switching it!
I really don't know what to do now. The new UK V5 is due through the door anytime now too and I've now got this setback!!!!
Any help or suggestions please??????
