Rain stopped an hour ago and it's drying up nicely. Nice and warm here now too.

Pete, I've changed my mind on the drive home.

New DB9, please. If it has to be your only car, its fast enough to have a lot of fun, civilised enough to use daily, loud enough to make you smile, not too ostentatious or stigmatised so as to get everyone calling you a bell end and drop dead gorgeous to boot.

I'm sticking with Kelly Brook, though. With a side of Minogue. ;)

Good to see you all.

Back safe and sound and in the dry.

Roydon ran 3 back to back 9.8's at 139 mph.....no improvement but clearly good Bracket car material..

It was really great to see everyone again in the Pits, and some new ones as well - and see some nice Mopars I had not seen before....

However, I must say how disappointing it was to see such a low turn out in general, especially from the American car Fraternity....after all it was the "YANKS" weekend and I think there were more VW Beetles (my personal pet hate) Murdercycles and YES - HOT HATCHES (Well, not very hot at all....) running.

If this is the future of our hobby then I think we are indeed in trouble....I know it was a Bank Holiday and yes, they did forecast rain but it was a p 1 55 poor turnout......I am clearly getting old and grumpy..............Bah!! Humbug!!

Bang on, Pete. Been saying it for years now as it steadily gets worse.

Sorry to hear this. I've never been to Shakey , and had an invite from JohnS.
Would loved to have supported this event and of course catch up with you lot.
I won't bother with excuses .
Just hope it never gets to the " wish I did that " stage in my life. :(

I bet the owner can't wait to sell the place and cash in; then we will all moan about lack of track access.............very sad and sobering..........
