Real car guy,been waiting to do this for a while but the weather usually puts paid to it so this time just went for it.
Looked at different ways of transport and in the end the best and cheapest way was get in and drive the thing down,end of! ;)

At £300ish in fuel i'm sorry to say I doubt it but might run down some year as a spectator and do some catching up even a bit of spannering to help out. ;)

Massive credibility for doing it, Bryan.

Most people only dream of doing that sort of thing.............I really hope you repeat the journey for the Nats!!!!

That's been my thinking as well, looked at several options for bringing mine home ranging from £800-£2500, so after a chat with my brother the cheapest way is to get an MOT on it then drive :)

Wish I could Pete but work most Saturdays and spending another 300 bangers on fuel would start to break me.............one day

Is your car not sitting even more north of me at this moment in time?
I got 13 miles to the gallon but my engine I've been told is capable of 11sec quarters just a pity the driver is a 13 sec man ;)

Yep probably another 250mls and then a 2 1/2hr ferry crossing :lol:
Used to give 15ish mpg but was nowhere near setup probably
