73 Cuda our proper Mopar!

Post by Lincrafts.com »

Hi, I'm Linda, and I along with my hubby Robin have only just joined, I received my login details 5 mins ago but gotta get started!!

After having had a Dodge Dakota and and a Chrysler 300c SRT (not the 8), which we still have, we now have a 1973 Plymouth Cuda and even though only had it 3 days and it is not registered, so not yet usable, and needs work absolutely love it :) Can't stop grinning :)

Anyone know which UK sealed beam headlights with side lights fit the best?
Thanks in advance :)

Welcome to the club, and a great looking car.

Please post up some of the Specs.

You can get sealed beams with marker lights off eBay UK Ok.
You CAN convert to H4's BUT for safety you would really need to install relays to keep the load off old switches and wiring looms...

Incidentally, where are you based?

Hi Linda and welcome. Nice car, this is the 340 with the slapstick auto that come from Colchester I believe, are you in Essex?

Great engine the 340 you can do tons to them a few of us have the 340 and stroked out to 416 C.I. But still a great engine if you choose to go down the authenticity route. You will have fun with it no matter what you do, huge learning curve in front of you and this is the best place to start.

Thanks everyone, it is the 340 from Colchester, matching numbers. We plan to get it through the MOT and run it around this year as is with the odd bit of tinkering and start on it over the winter/next year.

We're up in Lincolnshire near Horncastle.

Thanks for the learning curve warning LOL. It is years since Robin had an older car to work on, the one which went in P/X was a 99 Z28 Camaro, a get in and go car.

He's started already with the front end off so he can paint the grille silver as neither of us like the yellow front that much.

The only specs I can remember are that it is a 340 with a SLAPSTICK AUTO

GENUINE BS23 CUDA WITH H CODE 340 4BBL HIPO (I didn't copy and paste this I remembered, she lies) I don't do technical I do when will it be ready to take out and play
