kickdown rod for 383

Post by paul foote »

Can anyone help please. I have fitted an edlebrock manifold and 750 holley to my 68 coronet 383. I cannot get the kickdown to work although by extending the rod to maximum it worked once. Shifting is harsh too. Can anyone tell me the step by step to get this working before I blow up the gearbox! please.

Hi Paul, hope you are well.

Please can you post up a picture of your installation as usually the BB's have a pivot system mounted on the 727 whereas the SB's tend to have a single solid rod....I do have a couple of spares so you never know.............

Have you got the holley bracket to adapt to the Mopar linkage? If you don't , that's what you need, everything will line up like it it did with the original carb.
