Brake pipe ends

Post by Rebel »

Anyone know where I can get some brake pipe ends to bolt into the metering valve / proportion valve ( ? ), the metal block positioned next to the front chassis rail under the brake master cylinder ( pic of both attached ). The ones I have are the wrong size and don't really want to use the old ones unless I have to

TIA

Spoke to a guy at automec today, gave him some measurements and sent more pics of the ends in question.
He offered to send me one end free of charge to see if it fits. Great service, obviously based on me ordering from them, refreshing change none the less :thumbright:

that sounds like a good service....Ive always wanted to know what the sizes are to order. I think they are different sizes for the back of the wheel cylinders, the flex hoses, the master cylinder and the prob valve etc....well they seem to be anyway :thumbright:

Indeed Steve, surprised me, certainly can't fault them on their service.
Bit of a strange one regarding the pipe ends, to be honest. I'm busy doing a disc conversion on the front, so the new master cylinder comes with its own pipe ends which are a different size again. I bought new flexi pipes so no problem there, adding a lineloc that comes with a fitting kit, but as I might as well change all the pipes while the system is in pieces, this is where my plan was flawed because of course I need the right size for the rest of the bloody car, :D

USAutomotive had some last year. UK stuff fits but has a shoulder before the thread so you only get one thread turn in, whereas the originals are threaded all the way.

Thanks Matt,
Automec sent me that arrived today, which looks like it'll fit. I should get a chance to try it tomorrow.
