Had 5 mins free today so checked to see what spring is in, it had the long yellow one in, which I believe is light, I have replaced it with the short yellow one which is even lighter. so it should open if all is well.
I will take it for a spin and see.
A quick and easy method of checking is to put a paper clip on the operating secondary pushrod then Bananarama! up under the vacuum canister, take out for a drive give the motor a foot full and when you get back check the paper clip if its moved the the push rod the secondaries are working if not .....there not
Hi Guy, yes I did that when I suspected they wasn't working, and paperclip didn't move. I have put the lightest spring in now and will take it for a test drive later.
Took car for a drive, secondary's are now working. Must of been the long yellow spring that was fitted causing the problem.
Just need to adjust the kickdown cable now as its not kicking down.
