Trying to save money is hard to do on these things ,but as the car is bleeding me dry the first engine will have to be a recycled 440 .First thing to say it was a good runner ,six pack internals ,906 heads etc .....on inspection it is 30 over and as clean as a whistle .72 block ,good crank but a Maltese cross on the engine I'd pad tells us some funny sized bearings inside ....but it could have been line bored so who knows at present ...anyways some were along the line I scored a vintage Inlet and a set of 915 heads that were on a serious stock eliminater stateside that I have had rebuilt by James Vignogna in The states .....few pictures to wet your appetite and a picture of a sweet block I scored for the future engine ,can you guess what it is ?

i think the 8 bolt crank flange is a bit of a giveaway (last pic)
keep it mopar !

. ...Jim it's not what you think mate .413 cold weather block .industial crank is sadly only good for chucking at Chelsea supporters .The flange on it is longer and no good .Block on the other hand is perfect never touched Virgin ....Some 413 industrial blocks had 426 casting numbers ,this is one ....not rare as such but bulletproof ....these blocks can be bored out to 426 without any drama .....These are good blocks and often looked over because people think nothing fits ....only the pistons are odd but readily available from Ross Pistons everything else 440 will fit

i sold one of these a few years ago and the crank was no use in that one either, strange thing though it had 413 stamped on it but was 426, maybe i should of kept it looked a strong block
keep it mopar !
