Convertible top supplier

Post by JAGGERMAN »

Hi. I want a new top for my 65 Dodge Custom 880. Can anyone give feedback on any good/bad UK/US suppliers.
I had found this one below - any one had any experience?

I've dealt with Hydro-E-electric before (not for an actual top IIRC) and they are a good supplier, have been around quite a while.
The top they are selling is from Kee - definitely a reputable brand and most usually the name which comes up as a good manufacturer. But as always it can vary from vehicle to vehicle, your best bet is to try and find someone who has specifically done a 65 Dodge..if you can. Other than that, most of the usual parts suppliers will do convertible tops, and usually from the same set of manufacturers, so if you end up wanting eg a Kee top, then if there are no other factors, shop around on price - Year One, Legendary, Classic Industries etc probably all sell them and often do special offers. Might also see if Dixie parts sell or can get one - reportedly good to deal with.

I haven't checked buying over here - usually it is more expensive. If you want a glass rear screen (if that's an option with your car) then that's what the shipping will sting you for.
