A body over dash caps

Has anyone fitted one of the dash caps that bond over the old one? Are they any good and do they fit OK?
1970 Plymouth Duster
2000 Dodge Durango SLT
1974 Mk1 Escort RS2000
1981 Chevy G30 motorhome

Plus whatever else is kicking around on the drive :)
