Steve wrote:Hi Dunc...I ticked the box for fully comprehensive marine insurance when I booked up, it was £37. Luckily, I had before and after photos and to be fair to Kingsley, he was very helpful with sorting it out for me. Took a few emails to prompt it along but got there in the end :thumbright:
I was told when I shipped my car in, that by having goods on a ship at sea, you are liable for a shared % of the cost of total loss of the ship should some teenager driving it at the time ground it on a coral reef while trying to do 'burnouts' in the docks...

I'm not sure how true that all is though but like Steve, it only cost me £30 extra or so.

Chipping away at her....interior coming out, roof nearly back to metal, loads of wiring bits n pieces arrived this week ready for when bodywork sorted and relaxing session cleaning the rear seats. They have come up lovely!! Found another build sheet under the seat but its to fragile to remove. The text on it is perfect so I will photograph it properly and leave it in situ,

Cheers Steve :thumbright:

Back on my feet now after knee op so been getting stuck in again. Weather killing outside work so been concentrating on getting the various wiring looms for the engine bay made up. Ive stripped out the old ECU setup and have fitted an HEI unit with a high performance Lucas coil (much cheaper than a Blaster 2 and just as good).

Ive made up the lighting relay box and its all wired up with new trigger wires etc. I will fit it to the car before I make up the new lighting loom. Im putting in Autopal dipped beam units and moving the sidelights up into them from the indicators.

Been painting bits and pieces as I take them off so they are done ready to go back on when I get to the 'putting it back together' stage.

Ive tidied up the engine bay by removing the cruise control (not working), most of the aircon and the charcoal canister setup. I want a nice clean, simple engine bay when its done.

Most of the interior is out now ready for a bit of welding in the drivers footwell, and to prep the roof for a new headlinng.

This is becoming a bigger project than I first thought!

Cheers Steve
