Heres the Blue Rose stand you refer to Dunc.

The Heavy cars really stirred it up when they arrived sort of led to the demise of the UK Pro Stock ultimately. Always preferred the Duster personally. Don't know if there is a tougher looking racecar.

I can remember the Blue Rose Maverick ,which I believe was the first UK built Pro Stock.Tunnel rammed small block Ford with a lot of Gold ....

A couple of mates have owned Russos Rat and I could have bought it for several hundred pounds in the late '70's when the rolling shell was left abandoned on a local garage forecourt for many months. Trouble was I was only 16 at the time.....
The Heavy cars totally dominated pro stock when they arrived, they were both a good second quicker than any of the other cars out there at the time. It was the BDRA that killed the class by banning Lenco transmissions for pro stock, but allowing visiting Scandinavians using them to enter the class. As a group, all the pro stock guys said up your Bananarama! and practically all of them gave up racing for good. We have never had the class in the UK since.

That is a real shame blue,,,,,,, as we all know the classes march on allowing various changes/upgrades as the yrs march by ,, i hope pete walton will see the superstock class a little bit like that,,

Blimey yep thats it, i was marching around that hall in my dock martins, + wrangler jacket with boss pinto sew on badges on it thinkin i was a cool kid,, and kept sneakin away from my old man to have a smoke in the gents i was about 12-13 then i reckon, i loved the custom shows great times,,

But i prefer the challenger heavy,, i think it is still missing in action,,

The thing that has always puzzled me is what happened to the Heavy Chally ,the duster is well documented but the Chally just seemed to disappear .....

Yea the Brooklyn heavy car was a trlck piece with some great history, I have tried several times over the years to discover what became of it, no one seems to know, would be a very valuable car these days.
Originally a '71 built for Billy Stepp who hired Don Carlton to drive it, later sold to Brooklyn Heavy who updated it to a '73 and used it as a big money street race car amongst other things.

no the mopar miss is a 71 440 sixpack car, the rossi car was a 70 body in white acid dipped etc very trick at the time.,

the miss ran ultimatly mid 11,s which was quicjk back in the day sylvia won every trophy that the car could compete in with that car they then evolved to the quicker rossi car,,

I thought I read somwhere that the 'London Heavy' challenger went back to the States?
