Don't you love these old cars..? A better day

Post by MilesnMiles »

Well a better day with the old Mopar today; I fitted a new UJ to the prop (thanks to a MMA member) :thumbright: , the car starts straight on the button so warmed her up and then re tuned the carb to deal with an off idle lean bog as advised by Ade and then went for a drive.
Luvly, no vibration at high speeds, car drives nice when I punch it with just the slightest touch of a lean spot. So much better.
It's nice when things fall into place, the heater/de mister I fixed all working good and cosy, jus felt good to drive again. So the old Roadrunner is a keeper again ;)

Cheers, its nice as Paul says when a plan comes together. Over winter I'm reckoning on FirmFeel tubular UCAs, new cross member rubbers/poly and maybe 1" torsion bars. That should tighten things up considerably as I do like to go around corners. Can't really avoid it in Cornwall!
