Undersealing service in Herts/Essex wanted?

I've got to sort something out on our Demon in the new year before we start using it in anger and end up wrecking it.
It's basically virgin paint under there apart from the area above the axle which has been peppered with stones back to bare metal.

I was thinking that some sort of rust converter for the odd little sections of surface rust and clear waxoil so I can monitor things developing?

Just not too sure which rust converter would be the best bet to go for? I've used Fertan in the past which is OK. They use it in the marine world so it seems well thought of. What's this "Gibbs" stuff like? I've never heard of that?

I'm gonna sound repetitive
If the cars just used on good days and is day garaged, spray it underneath with Gibbs product
It leaves no sticky residue, leaves a semi permanent coat on the bare steel and is colourless.
My car in the new calendar (see March) has had that patina and underneath protected by regular application of Gibbs for three years; no rust has newly formed and the underside is equally fine
And I drive my car in winter.

It's only my opinion and may not be shared, but I think applying layers of thick black sticky Bananarama! to a Californian rust free chassis is sacralige.

Don't drive it in the rain/when the salt goes down and you will be fine.

I have a mk1 escort which (and I wish I had not had this done) is the same colour under the car as it is on top. Totally mint.

But it has been painted 6 years now and it is still looking fresh, got caught in the rain once always dry driven otherwise.

The Dart I have painted black under the car and if it gets wet, I do not mind as much.

Any photos under the car? Miles (and miles and miles and miles

) suggestion sounds good to me.

Gibbs is great stuff, not cheap , but I've always a can or two to hand.
