A Big Thumbs up for Firm Feel Power Steering!

Post by Bilko »

Finally got my Firm Feel steering box fitted and wow what a difference!

I was a bit worried as I went for the stage 3 which is the 'heaviest' option, but the car now drives like new. It gives loads of feedback which the stock set-up didn't, and the wandering and 'tram lining' has completely gone. I also changed the tyres from the stock Goodyear Polyglas Bias-belted ones to BFG radials which has also contributed to the planted feel of the car.

Anyone thinking of going this route, do it. I could use the as a daily driver, it's that good.

I bet the tyres had the biggest impact.

Just what I was thinking. And I bet keeping the original tyres on for the NEC played a big part on the car getting the main award, so it looks like a good time to make the change :thumbright:

Looking forward to seeing the car in CA next month too, btw Steve 8-)
