i think 70 is a hell of a good age, to live to and certainly his lifestyle, so its oficial live like this ,,,,,,,,,
Lemmy's lifestyle was unlike that of any other rocker. He said: "I've been with him almost 25 years, and it was a half gallon of Jack Daniels a day, two-three packs of cigarettes and his other little favorites and that was a daily thing.
and outlive george best by 11 yrs not bad, so it pays to take drugs n smoke at the same time as consuming stupid amounts of alcohol,,

Wow, just found out about the Lemmy demise on the radio. I had the pleasure of seeing Hawkwind at the Croydon Fairfield Halls and then Motorhead at Hammersmith Odean about 8 years ago. Lemmy was indeed the ACE of spades, a wonderful truly British Rock n Roller, if ever a supergroup from the heavens would form then Lemmy would get my vote as the bassist. The World is sadder for Lemmy exiting, RIP fellah.

Great man gone. Pleased you remember him in Hawkwind. Great band in the day helped at a lot by Stacia. As a sixteen year old she had a great influence on me at the time!

OMG just seen this, where have I been.

Always been a heavy rock/metal fan since I can remember. Then one night I heard a song that knocked me for six, didnt know who it was so I asked the DJ and was told it was Motorhead and that was introduction to Motorhead must be at least 35 years ago and still loving them.

Just back from a very wet Selby, North Yorkshire (with no internet access).

A very sad loss, but not unexpected.

Unique and the likes of him will never be seen again.

I have been going to MH gigs since 1979, and as most people know, I was an avid fan.

I am really glad that Ade and I went to their last UK Gig, fond memories.

This was both mine and my Daughter's favourite live track, it went into to the set on the "Bomber" tour and was a permanent fixture, it got played at his last gig in Germany in December 2015.

It was the track that always got the audience fired up and going, and somehow seems appropriate:
