Custom Car Magazine staged a ‘Custom Car Show’ at Belle Vue from 1973 to 1975, in 1976 the magazine moved the show to Olympia

A group of hot rod and custom car enthusiasts had started a club in Manchester in 1975 called Rainy City Cruisers, they staged the Rod and Custom Show at Belle Vue from 1976

By the early 80’s the future of Belle Vue was looking bleak and the 1982 show was renamed the ‘Last Rod and Custom Show’

However the following year Belle Vue got a brief reprieve and another final show was staged, this time named ‘World of Wheels’

i attended most all the custom shows at bellvue, great times as a kid, the car park was always full of great machines to, we also went a few can am meets somewhere in birmingham,,,,
