That's correct. I took the Cuda to work one day last year and a young lad in the stores took some pics and text them to his uncle in Florida who turned out to be the guy who ran Sunshine Classics years ago. Still very much into Mopars and decoded my car's fender tag from memory.hemi472 wrote: I think his name was Steve - he ended up moving to Florida and ran the same business in Kissimmee.
1970 Hemi Challenger - where is it now?

That's cool - it's shows what a small world it is - he was a nice bloke - he also took me out in his Lamborghini countach as well which was pretty coolBilko wrote:That's correct. I visited Sunshine Classics when they were in South Woodham Ferrers. I took a few pics as well. They had some great stuff, including the Cudas (hemi and a six pack that had the engines switched), one plum, one go mango. I believe they were brought over for circuit racing, possibly driven by Tony Lanfranchi (?).Bilko wrote:That's correct. They had a gorgeous unrestored 71 Chally R/T in orange with Go wing which last I heard was in Wales looking rather sad and rusty.
I was given a spin in a 74 440 scriffy but quick, and that sealed my fate to have to have one.

Here are the 2 Cudas I mentioned above. This was 1993 at Sunshine Classics, South Woodham Ferrers, Essex.
Unfortunately in those days I didnt know much about VINs or I would have taken more pics, but then that was the days of my 110 camera and post it off to get the film developed, no instant pics on my phone!

What a great thread! Im guessing that if that Challenger Hemi is still unrestored and in storage it must be almost unique, certainly in Europe if not Wordwide!
I still cant decide what my favourite E body is....I always thought a Plum Crazy 70 Hemicuda was my Holygrail, then it was the 71 Hemicuda ragtops but now I really love the look of the Hemi Challengers. If I ever won the Euro Trillions, I would have one of each to keep my fleet of 60s moredoor C bodies company.
This type of thread makes me realise just how much knowledge and experience there is in our club. Great stories...keep it coming men

Just found this on the web, on a piston heads thread http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1079209
never seen this pic before but if what Sunshine Classics were saying is right then one of these two (probably the orange one) is likely this car.
