Learning from dynos

Post by MilesnMiles »

I read this article recentlyhttp://www.compcams.com/Community/Articles/Det ... -409383413

the article pretty much describes my motor especially the exact same cam. I have more compresion and les exhaust/carb but, what interested me was where the power increases actually started to occur.
Looking at standard (stage1) and peak tune (stage 6) its noticable that only after about 3,600 rpm does all the tuning work start to pay off.
Very useful when assesing what gears to use. I'm running 3.32 with 26" tyre which gives cruising at approx 70mph. No wonder I like sticking it in second and holding onto the revs....!
Prety essential when planning mods
