cost of brake shoes

Post by Mick »

Rang Rodley motors for a price on 11-2-3/4 brake shoes for 66 Fury.
50 pounds plus vat and in stock. Seemed a little steep, so i rang US Automotive none in stock but told me around 30 pounds plus vat.
Any suggestions on possible supplier, or am i just a tight wad.

Have you checked American Autoparts or WASP? (mention you're an MMA member ;))

US Automotive are good, but some parts can take a long time to arrive if they're not in stock.

Fifty sheets is ridiculous!

Ditto on US Autos delivery times for out of stock kit. They were who got me that master cylinder....

on the other hand I got a pair of front flexis off them next day for a good price (cheaper than Vauxhall ones anyway!)

Also try Peter Cooper up in Pickering. I owe him one for some sterling advice on fixing my tilt column!

Thanks everyone, ordered them from American Autoparts about the same price but with mma discount and a pleasant service unlike Rodleys who i rang for axle seal for 8 3/4, the man on the line said "yeah i've done loads , what's it for a Mustang". Excuse me.
