Very true that Dave, it's taken me a long time and a lot of painful lessons to learn that!

MOT Yup :D

Advisories
Minor deterioration of front felxis
Baldy tyres inside edge (been like that since my upper arms bolts swivelled round, I put them back where they should be )
Current axle seal oozing onto brake
rubbers on upper ball joints loose but not letting in muck

but I knew all of this anyway.....

Smoking like Ivor the engine nope :D 40 miles done.
Spins up twice as fast as it used to YUP :)

currently initial set to 10BTDC no real tuning as of yet
built the brakes on the new axle

waiting for 1 man brake bleed to arrive.

Oh its a weight off my shoulders.....

Really good news, Dave.

No need to order a Charger-sized Skip any more ;)

It must have been so frustrating, but all that is in the past and you can look forward to running over more vegetables at speed with a greater degree of confidence.

All the best

not very exciting

but fitted heat shield under Webers

keep heat off Webers

keeps fuel off hot exhaust should bad stuff happen

an absolute pig to fit

I had a choice nice compact and relativly pointless heat shields

20 quid each Thus

http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/heat-shiel ... 5-220.html

or great big silly heat shield

Thus

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111892447041

big and silly worked out less and I guess would be much more effective

air box or sealed area between hood and inner wing next
