Not to every ones taste but Im a massive fan of old V dubs. This was for sale local to me and has been in the area since 1989. Its a 5dr MK2 Golf Gti 2 owner from new with a full VW service history / original sales order / PDi sheet and sales sheet from 1989. Its got the owners handbook and is 100% factory standard and even has the original panasonic cassette player.
The car drives fantastic and is one of the best MK2's Ive driven. Its pretty much in time warp condition. Going to use this as my every day car me thinks.
One of the best old school dubs I owned was this B3 passat which i fitted with a 1.8T AGU 20v Turbo lump. Ran JE rods & pistons and an IHI VF28. Made 310 bhp on the rollers. Even ran a 12.9 @ 114
Perfect - 3dr, 16v and Oak Green, small bumper - can't get better than that!
(Silver one looks ace too)
Stonor VW event in June - I might have to go shopping!

Edit - just saw Passat, we had a standard one when they were new! Hard car to fault too.
(We may have crossed a line here though, even for the non-Mopar section!)
Yep crossed the line. More hp from a 1.8 than many 440s'
Car looks to be a good example,so many thrashed, chopped, lowered these days.
Early 90's a mates sis had a 1.8 GT Syncro, virtually GTi spec but slower, nice car though.

Climate change, global warming, the biggest tax raising scam ever devised by man for mankind.
Well I had a Passat 2006 TDI and it was Bananarama!
But then I had an R33 GTR (I see one in the garage in one of the shots) which was a pretty good car but too dangerous owing to my heavy right foot
Lifes Too Fast But The Car`s Not, It even managed to miss the boat twice.
Now passed customs.
Now on route.
Now in posession.
Now costing me sh*t loads.
I had a 79 scirroco storm rough as rats best bang for buck i ever had cost me £80,00 inc plate YFM 141 i was shocked i could even pull that back after i lost it, i swear i saw the back quarter on severral occasions, real fun car that one, also had a golf gti circa 86 model 1800 injjust an 8v but boy did that go and had mega torque,,
Never owned one but I don't remember ever hearing a bad word said about them. Remember them well when they were new (and the 1st ans 2nnd gen XR£i) and always fancied one. I got married young and so missed that teenage bit where you fly round in hothatches etc but really appreciate them at the shows etc now!
Thanks for the posts, great pics of very nice cars
