I'm new to the club having joined only this week, largely I guess like many others for technical advice and parts. For longer than I would wish, I have been ground up restoring my 1972 Chrysler Valiant Vh Charger 770. It has a 318 V8. My car is GYY 132L. I'm not certain if the car is captured on the Australian Chrysler list. I was a member of the original Aussie Charger club and even attended a club meet way back when at the three counties show in Malvern. I think I may even have photos that I took from the event that I would be happy to dig out and share if it helps to identify other Aussie Chryslers.
Subject to sorting out the power steering box and replacing the felt/fabric weather strips for the doors and a driver side front indicator moulding, the car should touch wood be back on the road.

I think I was there in my blue '72 770- CHP590K. Sadly it disappeared off radar a few years ago
I'd love to see any pics you have of the event!
there used to be a guy who ran containers out of Brisbane or Newcastle NSW
he would bring in mk1 ford escort bodies that he had found in the outback (salvage).
flog them to the historic rally mob
there used to be space in the odd container. it was totally based on exchange rate so he stopped doing it years ago.
the other route was via Ozhemi and MoparMal on the mopar market message board
they ran containers from Australia to the US. if you could get it to the US it was easier to get it back to here
these days I try and get anything form Oz sent via AusPost
or get the Australian end to book the shipping
I had a clutch and flywheel come in via normal post
and a pair of alloy wheels. bubble wrap and address label
its risky but I haven't had a problem. as long as it doesn't hit Parcel force the benefits are pretty good Parcel force has a customs house on site. others do not and use the random routine of 1 on 10 as far as I can see
my current 4 speed came via Aussie shipper and USPS
4 speed , pair of extractor new upper Arms and a front end rebuild kit cost £285 to send and for some reason came air mail. couldn't believe the deal. best I could get this end was closer to 500
bout 10 years ago I had a hemi 6 brought in palleted and cling film
was £250 I think
but then again a dash pad was going to be £300 to ship due to length not weight so it came as a pair of skis with a friend on a passenger plane
