Refurbing a Torque Thrust

I managed to score a brand new wheel for £20 on another forum.

There wheel is new but was left on a car for a number of months and it looks like water has got under the lacquer.

Has anyone refurbed a wheel and if so whats your tips?

They are not lacquered, it's a fine machined finish a bit like a record, corrosion gets in the grooves and you get that spotting. Fine wire wool and solvol gets a finish That's good enough for me, but then I don't like mirror finish.

Ditto from me - I did exactly that on the wheels on the Super Bee. Worked for me!
