Mopar Group 27 Battery

I brought a dead mopar battery off Vince on here as I had a project in mind to do with it. Nick Chandler helped me do it as it was a two man job.
Firstly Bananarama! out with loads of water & baking soda to neutralize the acid. (Vince had already drained the acid, Thanks Vince)
We used a multitool to cut around the top just under the lip, this made it easier for the hacksaw, always easier with power tools. Be careful as the blade of the multitool does jump about a bit.
Once the top was off we levered the cells out. when they got moving they lifted out easy.

When all the cells are out we used the multi tool down the partitions, then used pliers to snap them out a bit at a time as they are very brittle. then back with the tool again, Repeat till you get to the bottom.
We just levelled the bottom as I don't know what size batteries I'm putting in there yet. I could still take another half inch out if I need to.

Also cut some of the ribbing off the lid.
Then another wash out with more baking soda as it was still a bit stingy on the skin. Then was out with fairy liquid, dry, put lid on & photo time
