Axl/Daxl

Post by db »

We took Scarlett (9) and Willow (5) to their first concert last night to see the controversial new AC/DC line-up.

So, what were they like I hear you ask?
Did it work with Axl?
Should you go see them?

Yes, yes and HELL YES!
They sounded as good as they did when I last saw them nearly 30 years ago. Apart from the addition of Thunderstruck and Heatseaker they did pretty much the same set :thumbright: .
Axls voice suits the songs surprisingly well, especially the Bon -era stuff which I was most worried about! Angus is the star o'course, and he's not aged a bit- still the same scrawny, gurning monkey-man captivating us all for a 20- minute twiddling session while the rest went out back for a brew. Great venue, great stage, loads of cannons and fireworks.
Was there anything I can criticise? £3 for a bottle of water :x not playing 'Touch too much', and Axl sneaking on his white leather jacket and bandana towards the end (no shorts though thank god!)
All 5 of us loved every minute.
I can't wait for Wren to hit 5 so we can take her too (If Angus makes it through 2016) :D

One of the lads from work went last night, said it was a good show. Reckoned Axl managed to pull it off and would go and watch the same line up again even though he thinks Axls a class 1 k**b

Yeah, They actually offered us our money back on the tickets after BJ's problems were announced and judging by the rows of empty seats, I think a lot of fans chickened out because of Axl's bad reputation!
He had a lot of 'issues' back then and I think he's a lot older and wiser and less pouty now

If you read about his childhood it's amazing he's not in a padded cell. Without his singing talent he'd be a basket case for sure
