What dizzy is this???

Post by mrroverrover »

Please can anyone help shed some light on what dizzy this is as I need a new cap and arm for it but no idea what it is! No markings on it and it's bigger than one currently on my standard 360 (89mm dia).
It's on a rebuilt 360 I've bought but the seller can't remember what dizzy it is so I'm a bit stuck :(

Sorry, not seen one like that before. Can you not just swap in your existing dizzy?

Yup thats what I found too but can't find any caps or arms on their own :(
I'd like to use it tbh to eliminate ppoints etc.

generic Chinese Mopar distributor using and Australian Bosch (Holden) 4 pin HEI module.

looks like a Procomp (Pro Comp) or DSM Electronics both seem to be brand names for Chinese copies of other peoples products.

most are based on MSD copies of the ford or GM magnetic trigger dizzy with $15 4 pin HEI module hidden in a case on the side

they may have their origins in Australia or maybe Australia was the first target for the product, so you may find an aussie v8 cap and rotor fit

I have never heard anyone say that either company's products brought them joy, luck or amusement in any way shape or form.

random advance or excessive advance yes....

just hope the last owner paid $60 not $499 for it

I have seen Procomps before and my personal opinion is that they reside in the bin - very poorly made and I would not trust one...

it might not be a prom comp... you could have the device that they based their design on....but it has features that look much like their product.
