e-body dynamat

Post by Lincrafts.com »

Could anyone out there with an e-body who has installed dynamat tell me how much was used, pack size etc. Seen some on Amazon at what looks like a good price and the guy has good feed back.

Oh and no Two Ronnies type answers please, you know 4 packs and I had 2 left over as well !!
Thanks

I used one of these packs:

...but then I only did the front and rear footwells, so if you're planning to do the transmission tunnel, doors etc etc, you will obviously need more!

Thanks for that, we were thinking of doing the whole floor area so will definitely need more. Price seems good but I couldn't find the size of the sheets to compare. Probably staring me in the face :D

Did you notice a difference?

I haven't noticed a huge difference tbh, but then I wasn't expecting a huge difference with the amount I covered, and the car isn't that loud anyway... The details are on the main US Dynamat site:

http://www.dynamatstore.com/index.php?l ... _list&c=28

... the kit I got contains three "18" x 32" (457mm x 812mm) pieces of Dynamat SuperLite. Total Coverage: 12 ft. sq. (1.1 m sq.)"

One piece each for the front footwells, cut the other piece in half for the rear ones IIRC.

I did the entire floor in my Cuda and used one of these packs:

I did run out and had to buy 3 loose sheets on eBay to finish the job, so that should give you an idea.

That's great, it's the same size pack on Amazon.
Thanks

Took it out today after Robin fitted the Dynamat and new carpet and pleased to say it did make a difference.
